Acceleration of SME Growth, Bank Mandiri Disburses KUR Rp17.77 Trillion until May 2026

JAKARTA - Bank Mandiri continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner of the government in encouraging the people's economy through the distribution of People's Business Loans (KUR). This bank with the BMRI stock is increasingly relying on the KUR program to expand access to capital for productive business actors, while accelerating the growth of sectors that are able to create jobs and improve people's welfare.

SVP Micro Development & Agent Banking Bank Mandiri Bayu Trisno Arief Setiawan said that Bank Mandiri's KUR distribution reached IDR 17.77 trillion as of May 31, 2026. This low-interest financing has been enjoyed by 135,829 business actors throughout Indonesia.

This realization is equivalent to 43.34 percent of Bank Mandiri's KUR distribution target in 2026 and reflects the accelerating growth in supporting the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as the backbone of the national economy. He continued, the distribution of Bank Mandiri's KUR is always balanced with the application of the principle of prudence and optimal risk management, reflected by the non-performing loan (NPL) in the range of 1 percent.

"This achievement shows the continued excellence in Bank Mandiri's micro business model which not only focuses on financing growth, but also maintains the quality of the portfolio to remain healthy and resilient," Bayu said in an official statement on Monday, July 6.

According to him, the success of the distribution of KUR is inseparable from the integrated synergy between the government, banks, business actors, and various stakeholders in encouraging the strengthening of the productive sector in various regions. This collaboration is an important foundation in creating an increasingly inclusive and competitive business ecosystem.

"Bank Mandiri views KUR not only as a financing facility, but as an instrument to bring growing value to the community. Through wider access to capital, we want to help business actors increase production capacity, expand marketing networks, and open new job opportunities that have a direct impact on the regional economy," added Bayu.

From the total distribution of KUR until May 2026, 63.54 percent or Rp11.29 trillion was disbursed to the production sector, while 36.46 percent or Rp6.48 trillion was allocated to the non-production sector. The dominance of the productive sector is in line with Bank Mandiri's commitment to strengthen the foundations of the national economy through financing that provides a wider multiplier effect.

The agricultural sector is the largest contributor with a disbursement value of Rp5.82 trillion or 32.77 percent of the total KUR. Next is the production services sector of Rp3.86 trillion or 21.72 percent, the processing industry of Rp1.35 trillion or 7.60 percent, and the fisheries sector of Rp249 billion or 1.41 percent.

In addition to supporting MSMEs, Bank Mandiri also plays an active role in supporting government priority programs, including the Three Million House Program. Until May 2026, the company has channeled the Housing Program Credit (KPP) for the demand side of IDR 493.10 billion to 1,764 debtors with financing quality that is still optimally maintained. Financing on the demand side is intended for MSMEs that need financing support for purchase, construction, and renovation in order to support business activities.

Cumulatively, since the KUR program was launched by the government in 2008 until May 31, 2026, Bank Mandiri has disbursed KUR of IDR 321.01 trillion to 3.72 million debtors throughout Indonesia. This consistency makes Bank Mandiri one of the largest KUR distributors that continue to support the sustainable development of the people's economy.

To accelerate and maintain the quality of KUR distribution, Bank Mandiri continues to strengthen its ecosystem-based financing strategy through a closed-loop approach that is connected to wholesale customers, production centers, and regional flagship sectors. This strategy makes it possible to create an increasingly effective synergy of service ecosystems between MSMEs, suppliers, distributors, aggregators, and off-takers in a mutually supportive business value chain.

This bank with a gold ribbon logo is also continuing to expand access to financial services through the Mandiri Agent network, digital services, as well as literacy and financial inclusion education programs to increase the capacity of business actors in managing businesses in a modern and sustainable manner.

In the future, Bank Mandiri will continue to strengthen collaboration with the government and various stakeholders to optimize the distribution of targeted KUR and provide wider economic impact for the community.

"With the support of an increasingly strong service network and an ever-growing business ecosystem, we are optimistic that the distribution of KUR can further accelerate the growth of the national productive sector. We want to ensure that every financing that is distributed is able to create new economic value, expand employment opportunities, and strengthen Indonesia's economic resilience sustainably," concluded Bayu.
