President Jokowi's Prayer In Front Of The Body Of Elisye W Ketaren, Wife Of Minister Yasonna Laoly
JAKARTA - President Jokowi pays special attention to the death of the wife of the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna Laoly; Elisye Widya Ketaren on Thursday 10 June. He went to the funeral home and prayed for the deceased on the same day.
After completing his state duties throughout Thursday, June 10, Jokowi took the time to pay a visit to the Sentosa Funeral Home, Gatot Subroto Army Central Hospital (RSPAD), where the body is buried. President Joko Widodo was present at around 19.50 WIB. As reported on the official social media account of the Presidential Gallery.
Jokowi, who came with the former chairman of the DPD RI, Oesman Sapta Odang, was greeted directly by the Minister of Law and Human Rights Yasonna. After talking and conveying condolences to Menkumdang Yasonna and his family, Jokowi then saw the body of the late Elisye W Ketaren lying in the coffin.
Jokowi, who is still wearing a white shirt combined with black pants and sneakers, which he often wears during activities and work visits. After having a close conversation with Yasonna, President Jokowi seemed to approach the corpse. He was silent for a moment and said a prayer for the deceased.
From arriving at the funeral home, conveying condolences, praying for the deceased, Jokowi spent about 25 minutes. Then he and his entourage left Yasonna Laoly and her family who were still at the funeral home.
Buried in Sandiego Hills
As previously reported by VOI, the late Elisye W. Ketaren passed away at Medistra Hospital, South Jakarta, Thursday 10 June at around 15.25 WIB. The deceased was a husband, four children and six grandchildren.
The deceased was buried in the San Diego Hills, Karawang, West Java, on Saturday, June 12, 2021. "The funeral procession is planned to start at 11.00 WIB," said Head of the Communication Strategy Team of the Menkumham Bane Raja Manalu in a written statement received in Jakarta, Friday, June 11. reported by Antara.
He added that there will be consolation services for the family of the late Elisye, wife of Menkumdang Yasonna Laoly at the Sentosa Funeral Home. The series of consolation services are carried out at five different time stages, namely 10.00 to 11.30 WIB, 14.00 to 15.30 WIB, 16.00 to 18.00 WIB, 19.00 to 20.00 WIB and finally at 20.00 to 22.00 WIB. "The allocation of time for mourning is carried out outside the time for consolation," he said.
