Gran Max and Sigra Become Mainstays, Daihatsu Sales Grow 27 Percent in June 2026
JAKARTA - Daihatsu has made positive achievements with retail sales growing 27 percent in June 2026, compared to the same period last year. The figure reached 12,725 units and last year was only 10,001 units. This achievement reflects the public's continued confidence in Daihatsu products and at the same time shows the continued strong demand in various vehicle segments. Marketing Director & Corporate Function Director of PT Astra Daihatsu Motor, Rokky Irvayandi, expressed his gratitude for the continued trust of customers who continue to choose Daihatsu as their mobility partner. "The sales growth in June is an encouragement for us to continue to present products and services that are increasingly relevant according to the needs of the Indonesian people," he said in an official statement received, Monday, July 6. The growth was supported by the performance of two Daihatsu flagship models, namely the Gran Max Series in the commercial vehicle segment and Sigra in the passenger vehicle segment. Both continue to be the main contributors to sales thanks to their ability to meet the mobility needs of the Indonesian people, both to support business activities and daily family mobility. A number of Daihatsu models recorded positive growth compared to June 2025. The Gran Max Series became the model with the highest increase of 57 percent, driven by an increase in demand for commercial vehicles in various business sectors. Luxio also recorded growth of 52 percent, followed by All New Xenia which increased by 7 percent, as well as the Daihatsu LCGC segment (Ayla and Sigra) which increased by 4 percent.
Meanwhile, Terios still maintains a stable performance with a growth of 2 percent compared to the same period last year. On the other hand, Daihatsu also continues to expand the choice of electrified vehicles through the Rocky Hybrid which has started to receive positive responses from customers since it was marketed in Indonesia. In June 2026, the Gran Max Series recorded total sales of 6,694 units, or contributed around 53 percent to Daihatsu's total retail sales. This achievement consists of 4,338 units of Gran Max Pick Up and 2,356 units of Gran Max Mini Bus, which also strengthens the position of Gran Max as the main business vehicle of choice for Indonesian business actors. Meanwhile, in the passenger vehicle segment, Daihatsu's Low Cost Green Car (LCGC), Sigra & Ayla, recorded total sales of 3,794 units, or contributed around 30 percent to Daihatsu's total retail sales. As for Terios, it recorded sales of 1,210 units or around 10 percent, while other models such as All New Xenia, Rocky, Rocky HEV, Sirion, and Luxio in total contributed 1,027 units or around 8 percent of total sales.
