VinFast VF MPV 7 Family Car Specifications Starting at Rp345 Million

JAKARTA - VinFast Indonesia introduces the VF MPV 7 as a seven-passenger electric vehicle designed to meet the needs of family mobility. This model is priced at Rp345 million with a battery rental scheme, and from its normal price of Rp400 million.

Meanwhile, the price including the battery is priced at Rp. 420 million. The VF MPV 7 has dimensions of 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, 1,734 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. These sizes allow for spacious cabin space in each row, including the third row bench which is often a concern for consumers in the family vehicle segment.

The interior layout is also designed so that passengers still get adequate head and leg room, both for daily use and long-distance travel. This is evidenced directly by the VOI editorial team, where sitting in the second row is quite relieved.

Even the cabin when driving his car is very comfortable and spacious, if the third row of the stroller can accommodate a lot of stuff. This is because the 7 MPV offers a luggage capacity of up to 606 liters when the third row of seats is folded.

The storage space can be expanded to about 1,240 liters when the second and third row seats are folded flat, so it can accommodate various needs, ranging from shopping supplies, children's luggage, to family vacation supplies.

Cabin comfort is also supported by an air conditioning system that reaches the third row, so all passengers still feel the cool cabin temperature. Meanwhile, the entertainment system relies on a 10.1-inch infotainment screen that has been integrated with the VinFast digital ecosystem to make it easier to access various features during the trip.

Market CEO VinFast Indonesia Antonio Zara, said the MPV segment is still the main choice of the Indonesian people. According to him, this condition is the basis for the company to present an electric vehicle that meets the needs of the family.

"GAIKINDO data shows that the MPV segment continues to maintain its dominance in the Indonesian automotive market. This shows that Indonesian consumers are not only looking for efficient vehicles, but are also able to accommodate the family's mobility needs comfortably," said Antonio Zara to reporters, not long ago.

"Based on this understanding, VinFast developed the VF MPV 7 as an electric MPV that combines a spacious cabin, modern technology, and a practical and comfortable driving experience. We believe this approach will further expand the choice of electric vehicles that are relevant to the needs of Indonesian families," he continued.

The performance of the VF MPV 7 relies on a front-wheel-drive electric motor that is capable of producing 201 hp of power with an instant torque of 280 Nm. The power character is claimed to be able to provide a smooth acceleration while still being comfortable when carrying seven passengers and luggage.

This car is equipped with a 60.2 kWh battery that uses a liquid cooling system. In full battery condition, the VF MPV 7 is claimed to be able to travel up to 450 kilometers based on NEDC testing. This vehicle also supports DC fast charging up to 80 kW, so that the charging process from 10 percent to 70 percent can be completed in about 30 minutes.

Antonio added that Indonesia is one of VinFast's main markets in Southeast Asia because of the prospects for increasing electric vehicle growth, supported by government policies, infrastructure development, and increasing public interest in environmentally friendly mobility.

"We not only present products, but also continue to build an increasingly complete electric vehicle ecosystem through a dealer network, after-sales services, charging solutions, to collaboration with various strategic partners. VF MPV 7 is part of our commitment to provide electric mobility solutions that are relevant to the needs of Indonesian families," said Antonio.

As part of its long-term commitment in Indonesia, VinFast has also started local production of the VF MPV 7 at its manufacturing facility located in Subang, West Java. This step is expected to support the development of the national electric vehicle industry while strengthening the company's ability to meet domestic market demand.

Through the development of an increasingly integrated portfolio of electric vehicle products and ecosystems, VinFast is optimistic that it can accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia. The VF MPV 7 is positioned as an electric MPV option that offers a combination of comfort, modern technology, and functionality to support the family's daily mobility needs.
