Slank remembers the formation of the 14th with a stage performance in Bandung

JAKARTA - Slank returned to the City of Flowers, Bandung, with a memorable story. They performed the 8th session of the HS Hey Slank Berani Kita Beda Tour at Prabuwangi Park Arcamanik Bandung, Sunday, July 5.

This concert reminds the 14th Slank formation that has lasted until now. This formation first performed in front of Slankers at Sabuga.

"At that time in Sabuga in 1997, the Slank formation, which is currently performing for the first time in Bandung. I remember, at that time I was combing my hair with Ivan," recalled Slank guitarist Ridho, in a press conference session, launching ANTARA, July 5.

Kaka agreed that the moment 29 years ago at the Ganesha Cultural Hall (Sabuga) was a heavy test and a milestone for the new personnel at that time.

"At that time, Ridho immediately got a PR (to look into) 30 songs (to perform in Bandung)," said Kaka.

This nostalgia is not just a gossip event, but is adopted by the domestic cigarette manufacturer HS to mobilize the labor-intensive sector and local musicians. The 8th session concert deliberately brought the largest line-up compared to the previous seven cities, namely nine music groups, by providing a special stage for three "local heroes" of Bandung: DT09, Stand Here Alone (SHA), and Preman Disko.

DT09 manager, Reza, said this collaboration space is very valuable for the regeneration of local musicians who are born from the underground.

"We are a music group that also came from grassroot, born from the tribune (Persib Bandung), bobotoh (Persib supporters)," said Reza.

The founder and vocalist of SHA, Mbenk, who is also a Slankers since the PLUR album era (2004), admitted that he was proud to be able to share the stage with his idol.

"So this SHA still has the blood flow of Slank, I will never miss this moment," said the man whose real name is Taufik Andryyansyah.

On the other hand, HS Commercial Director, Tessa Arya Pradana, revealed that the selection of Bandung as the crucial point of this tour was based on the very large macro economic potential.

"This makes Bandung one of the most sexy markets," said Tessa.

In this concert, Slank also collaborated with Tony Q Rastafara, The Cloves and The Tobacco, The Sleting Down, Afterskema, and Mahalara.
