Russia Claims Total 13,500 Ukrainian Soldiers Killed in Battle for Konstantinovka

JAKARTA - Ukrainian forces are said to have suffered heavy losses in terms of personnel as they attempted to demonstrate a claim of success in Konstantinovka, with around 13,500 soldiers killed.

"As a result of these attempts to show a false success, the Ukrainian armed forces again suffered heavy losses. During the operation to liberate Konstantinovka, they lost about 13,500 military personnel, 14 tanks, 283 armored fighting vehicles, 1,400 motor vehicles, 200 field artillery guns, and eight multiple rocket launchers," said the Head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces and First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Sergey Rudskoy, as reported by TASS, Saturday, July 4.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has previously stressed his belief that Russia will win the conflict with Ukraine.

Putin made the statement while visiting one of the Joint Group of Forces command posts.

"I have no doubt (Russia will win)," Putin said.

Putin made this statement after hearing the explanation of the commander of the Russian Armed Forces' offensive unit stationed in Konstantinovka (Kostyantynivka), Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) territory. Putin emphasized that Russia would win.

Putin said Russian forces continue to maintain strategic initiative with full confidence in the special military operation area.

The Russian leader said the capture of Konstantinovka opened a direct path for Russian forces to move towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Putin said the group of Northern troops continued to urge the enemy to withdraw from the Russian border as part of efforts to establish a security zone.

The Russian president reiterated that a massive attack on Ukrainian military targets must continue.
