Putin: Russia will win, the attack on Ukraine must continue

JAKARTA - Russian President Vladimir Putin reiterated his belief that Russia will win the conflict with Ukraine.

Putin made the statement while visiting one of the Joint Group of Forces command posts.

"I have no doubt (Russia will win)," Putin said, quoted by Sputnik, Saturday, July 4.

Putin made this statement after hearing the explanation of the commander of the Russian Armed Forces' offensive unit stationed in Konstantinovka (Kostyantynivka), Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) territory. Putin emphasized that Russia would win.

Putin said Russian forces continue to maintain strategic initiative with full confidence in the special military operation area.

The Russian leader said the capture of Konstantinovka opened a direct path for Russian forces to move towards Slavyansk and Kramatorsk.

Putin said the group of Northern troops continued to urge the enemy to withdraw from the Russian border as part of efforts to establish a security zone.

The Russian president reiterated that a massive attack on Ukrainian military targets must continue.
