The condition of the YTR victim of kidnapping in Bandung is gradually improving.
BANDUNG - The Hasan Sadikin Hospital (RSHS) Bandung stated that the condition of Yuvita Tri Rezeki (29), a victim of alleged severe abuse and kidnapping for three years by her lover Taufik Hidayat in Bandung Regency, has gradually improved during intensive treatment.
Director of Human Resources, Education, and Research of RSHS Bandung dr. Fitra Hergyana said the victim is now able to sit up and start light activities while undergoing recovery before surgery.
"Alhamdulillah the patient is now able to sit, can be active and yesterday we also carried out debridement or wound cleaning while waiting for surgery," said Fitra in Bandung, Friday, July 3, reported by ANTARA.
He said the medical team had not been able to confirm the surgery schedule because it was still focusing on treating the victim's infection.
"Currently there is still an infection. After the infection is handled, the operation will be carried out," he said.
Fitra explained that handling the victim not only focuses on physical recovery, but also psychological conditions.
He added that the victim would undergo surgery gradually according to the results of medical evaluation after each action was carried out.
"This operation cannot be done only once. We will see the results of the first operation first before determining the next action," he said.
Previously, the West Java Police named Taufik Hidayat as a suspect in the kidnapping and persecution case against YTR, which allegedly lasted for approximately three years in a boarding house in the Cileunyi area, Bandung Regency.
Due to the incident, the victim suffered a number of serious injuries that affected his physical condition, including vision impairment, difficulty speaking, and being unable to walk normally.
