Harry Styles cheers England goal before Wembley concert
Harry Styles stole the attention before taking the stage at Wembley Stadium, London, Wednesday night. Not because of the costume or concert performance, but because of his reaction when England scored a goal in the World Cup match against RD Congo.
Reported by The Mirror, the moment happened when Harry was preparing for his tenth concert at Wembley. The concert was part of a series of 12 performances of the Together, Together tour at the iconic London stadium.
Even though he was behind the scenes, Harry still followed the progress of the England match. When the news of the goal came, the 32-year-old singer immediately cheered.
England had trouble developing the game. However, Harry Kane then scored two goals in the final phase of the match. The goal made the English fans cheer, including Harry who was waiting for his turn to appear.
A video shared by fans shows Harry jumping into the arms of a man backstage. His face looks relaxed. He raised his hands in the air and looked up and shouted, "YEAH!"
The Mirror reported that Harry then changed his clothes before appearing. He was originally seen wearing a long-sleeved white T-shirt and black shorts. After that, he appeared in a casual-formal style that is his trademark on this tour.
Harry wore a button-down lavender shirt, tie, and high-waisted black trousers.
The celebration of the English goal added to Harry's list of moments that were widely discussed during the Wembley concert series.
Last week, the former One Direction member also stopped his concert in London after seeing an unusual sign from the audience. The video shared by Brandon Bennett showed Harry laughing before stopping the band.
"I was really distracted," Harry told the audience.
He then turned to one of the fans and read a writing that caught his attention.
"You sell photos of your feet to be able to come here?" said Harry.
Another clip circulating showed Harry asking the fan's name and chatting with him. The audience laughed when Harry looked like he was whispering, "How much is it?" After that, he said he was happy to meet the fan and continued the show.
Another viral moment happened when Harry forgot to bring a microphone to an important part of the concert. He had to run to the other side of the stage to get it.
The incident took place when Harry performed the hit song As It Was. However, the small incident was greeted positively by fans. When the microphone was not in his hand, Harry's voice immediately disappeared from the speakers.
For fans, the incident was proof that Harry really sang live on stage.
