Tegal Police Member Persecuted Women Arrested by Propam Central Java Police
JAKARTA - The Central Java Regional Police's Profession and Security (Propam) Division detained a member of the Tegal City Police, Aiptu N, following a report of alleged abuse against a woman.
"He was detained to undergo the process in accordance with the applicable provisions," said Central Java Police Public Relations Chief Kombes Artanto, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, July 3.
According to him, the Propam Unit of the Police monitored the disciplinary and disciplinary process for the member.
Regarding the criminal process against Aiptu N, he said, it is currently running at the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police.
Aiptu N was reported by a woman with the initials MAN, a resident of Cirebon, West Java, to the Criminal Investigation Unit of the National Police.
The alleged persecution which occurred since 2023 was triggered by a dispute between the victim and the alleged perpetrator.
Artanto emphasized that the National Police does not tolerate any form of violation committed by members.
"Anyone who is a member of the National Police who commits a criminal act or violates the Code of Ethics of the National Police Profession will be processed firmly in accordance with applicable laws and regulations without discrimination," he said.
