UNGU Celebrates 30 Years of Work through the Final Chapter Concert
UNGU is preparing to carve a new history in their musical journey. Marking three decades of existence in the entertainment industry, the band led by Pasha, Makki, Enda, Onci, and Rowman will hold their solo concert titled "UNGU - The Time That Is Waiting: Final Chapter (30 Years of Work)".
The grand show promoted by TipTip is scheduled to take place at the Tennis Indoor Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday, October 30.
This concert is touted as the most ambitious and emotional stage ever presented by UNGU. For more than two hours, the audience will be invited to reminisce about every phase of the Jakarta-based band's musical journey.
Hit songs such as "Demi Waktu", "Tercipta Untukku", and "Cinta Dalam Hati" are sure to resonate and contain a collective memory across generations of listeners.
UNGU vocalist, Sigit Purnomo alias Pasha, expressed his deep gratitude for the band's journey which was able to survive for three decades. For him, this achievement is inseparable from the extraordinary loyalty of their loyal fans, the Cliquers.
"Thirty years is an incredible gift for us. Not many bands are given the opportunity to continue working, growing, and staying loved all this time. We are so grateful that we have never gone through this journey alone," Pasha said in a press release received by VOI, Friday, July 3.
"There are millions of people who grew up with UNGU songs, and this concert is our way of saying thank you to them. We want to celebrate this journey together, in one night that will be a beautiful memory for all of us," he added.
In line with Pasha, Makki as a bassist and the only person who has survived since the beginning of the formation of UNGU, called this concert a reflection of friendship and trust.
"For 30 years, we have learned that what keeps UNGU standing is not only the songs we create, but also the friendship, trust, and incredible support from fans," said the bassist.
Meanwhile, the promoter promises a visual treat and sound system in the concert will be worked on with a completely new and magnificent concept. Various elements of surprise such as special guest stars to rare collaborations are being prepared carefully to provide an experience that will never be repeated in a similar format in the future.
SVP Entertainment Business TipTip, Astri Novanita Ali, emphasized that this event is not just a regular entertainment stage, but a celebration of part of the history of Indonesian music.
"Together with UNGU, we don't just want to present a concert, but an experience that will be remembered as one of the most historic moments in the journey of Indonesian music," said Astri.
For Cliquers who don't want to miss this historic moment, the organizers will open presale ticket sales starting Wednesday, July 8 at 10.00 WIB, exclusively through the official TipTip.id website.
Presale tickets are offered in six class categories with competitive price variations, ranging from IDR 450,000 for the Silver category to IDR 1,000,000 for the Diamond category.
