Demi Comeback Film Aksi, Hannah Al Rashid Rela Potong Rambut Gaya Mullet
JAKARTA - Actor Hannah Al Rashid admitted that he was waiting for the screening of his latest film which would mark his return to the action genre after playing in several horror films. Hannah admitted that the last time he played the action genre in 2016.
"The last action in Indonesia was The Night Comes for Us (released in 2018), but the shooting was in 2016. The same before that, there was a Sony action project in London in 2020. So it's been since then, I guess," said Hannah Al Rashid at the CATCHPLAY+ 10th Anniversary celebration, Thursday, July 2.
Having a foundation as an athlete, Hannah admitted that the training and shooting process could run smoothly but there were indeed some parts of the movement that had to be eliminated with other players.
"Fortunately, because I was an athlete, my muscle memory is still there. But it does take a very long training with the other cast. There are many workshops and physically the intensity of the training is increased again," said Hannah Al Rashid.
"Fortunately, we are helped by an amazing choreography team who have worked on many international and Indonesian projects. It's not easy to get back into the action rhythm, because the older the more stiff, but the process is really fun," he continued.
Not only that, for the film directed by Mike Wiluan, Hannah admitted that she was willing to cut her hair in a mullet style to support the appearance of the character she played.
"Regarding the mullet hair, it's my own will that was forced on the creative team. I really want to go all out for this role. When I asked Mike, he said "It's totally fine, it's even cool." This hair brings something different to the character than if it was just a normal hair," he concluded.
Head of Marketing Communication CATCHPLAY+, Cathlin Kurnia Wijaya said his party could not reveal much information because the film was still in the development stage.
"For this film, it's not that I don't want to be revealed, because it doesn't have a name yet. Now it's still untitled," he said.
"Later we will definitely reveal if there is a name. All I can tell you is that this is a feature film and it will be shown in cinemas," said Cathlin.
