Prince Harry's lawsuit against the Daily Mail could come out when he returns to England

Jakarta - Prince Harry is awaiting a crucial decision in his privacy lawsuit against the publisher of the Daily Mail. The decision is expected to come out when the Duke of Sussex returns to England with Meghan Markle and their children.

People, quoted on Friday, July 3, reported that the ruling in the case of alleged unlawful collection of information against Associated Newspapers Limited or ANL is expected to be announced on Tuesday, July 7.

ANL is the publisher of the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday. The company strongly denied the allegations and said its reporting was sourced from legitimate sources.

Harry, 41, is one of seven famous figures who have sued ANL. Other names in the case include Elton John, Elizabeth Hurley, and Sadie Frost, the ex-wife of Jude Law.

People previously confirmed that Harry and Meghan were planning to bring Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, to England in July. The family is currently in Europe ahead of the visit.

According to Reuters, this case is a big risk for both parties. Legal costs are estimated to reach tens of millions of US dollars and most of them must be borne by the losing party.

Harry and the plaintiffs accused the Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday of publishing stories about them between the 1990s and 2011 with information obtained unlawfully.

This lawsuit is the last case for Harry who is still active regarding the alleged practice of British tabloids.

When testifying in London in January, Harry accused British tabloids of continuing to hunt him down and making Meghan's life "absolutely miserable".

"By me standing here and fighting them, they continue to pursue me. They also make my wife's life really miserable," Harry said at the trial, quoted by People.

Harry said the long legal process made the pressure even heavier.

"The situation is getting worse, not better. What we need is an apology and accountability. This is a very bad experience," he said.
