Hyundai Brings Ioniq 3 to GIIAS 2026, Launching Soon in Indonesia?
JAKARTA - PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia will make a new breakthrough at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026, one of which is stealing the attention is the presence of Ioniq 3.
This certainty was expressed by Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) Chief Operating Officer Fransiscus Soerjopranoto. The presence of various models is part of Hyundai's move to expand its electrification reach and bring technology that can be accessed by more people.
"The Ioniq 3 is a special edition, we are seeing the public's enthusiasm in Indonesia," he said, when met at SCBD, Jakarta, Thursday, June 2.
Quoting from its official website, the Ioniq 3 introduces Hyundai's "Art of Steel" design language to the compact EV segment. This design follows Hyundai's "Art of Steel" philosophy, which is inspired by the tension and raw purity found in steel production. Surfaces are reduced to a few deliberate volumes that create a strong visual impact and precision, reflecting the natural behavior of sheet metal.
Despite its compact exterior dimensions, the IONIQ 3 offers a spacious and flexible interior designed for passenger comfort. The spacious 441-liter luggage capacity is expected to be a benchmark in its segment and support everyday practicality, equipped with an integrated Megabox.
The Hyundai Ioniq 3 is built on Hyundai Motor Group's Electric Global Modular Platform (E-GMP) with a 400-volt architecture, supporting efficient performance and ease of daily use.
There are two battery options with a projected WLTP range of 344 km (Standard Range), with a Long Range version targeting a class-leading range of 496 km.
Fast DC charging from 10 to 80 percent in about 29 minutes, equipped with AC charging capabilities up to 22 kW. Interested if the model above is present in Indonesia?
