After reprimanding the alleged seizure of a motorcycle, the Jaktim Dishub officer admitted to being intimidated.
JAKARTA - An East Jakarta Transportation Service (Dishub) officer admitted that he had been intimidated after reprimanding two men who were allegedly going to steal a motorcycle on Jalan Raya Bekasi, Cakung, East Jakarta, Thursday, July 2, 2026.
The incident was recorded by officers and the video was widely circulated on social media. In the recording, two men riding a black Honda PCX motorcycle with the police number B 5140 KIJ were seen arguing with officers.
"You want to kick, you want to kick hah? I'm a police officer. I'm a police officer. What do you want to do, kick people's motor?" said the officer in the video.
Based on information circulating, the incident began when the Dishub officer saw two men who were allegedly going to forcibly take a motorcycle belonging to a rider by claiming debt collection. The officer then reprimanded the action.
However, the reprimand is suspected to have triggered the anger of the two men. They are said to have chased the Dishub officer who recorded the incident using a mobile phone.
In the video that went viral, the officer also accused the two men of trying to seize his cellphone.
"What are you doing? Do you want to be a robber? You are shaking the motorcycle, do you want to take my laptop?" said the officer.
Not only that, the two men were also suspected of intimidation and attempted to attack officers. The intimidation is said to have taken place to the front of the Pulogadung District Office.
"I'm going to report you to the police, yes. Just let me report you," said the officer in the video recording.
Kanit Reskrim Polsek Cakung AKP Moch Zen confirmed the incident. However, as of Thursday evening, the police had not received an official report from the victim.
"The victim is still being sought, not yet (made) a report," said Moch Zen when confirmed by VOI.
Currently, the case is still being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cakung Police for further investigation.
