Evacuation of AMA Aircraft Pilot Victim of KKB Murder in Balinggama Delayed by Weather

JAKARTA - Head of Information Koops TNI Habema, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Wirya Artadiguna, said that the evacuation of the AMA aircraft pilot in Balinggama, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, was hampered by the weather.

The team flew for about 15 minutes to the crime scene from Timika but because the weather was not friendly, it was decided to return and will continue on Friday (3/7).

"The plan is that on Friday morning (3/7) the team will be flown back to Balinggama, to evacuate Nicholas F Goselin (20 years old), a citizen of the United States who was reported to have died," said Lieutenant Colonel Inf Wirya as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, July 2.

In addition to killing the pilot of the plane with the flight number PK-RCY, KKB also burned AMA's plane.

The crashed plane had previously flown from Wamena to Balinggama carrying passengers, said Wirya, who was contacted from Jayapura.

Data collected by ANTARA revealed that the crashed plane, piloted by Nicholas F Goselin, a citizen of the United States, flew from WamenamenujuBalinggama carrying seven passengers.

The seven passengers of the AMA plane to Balingga were Eston Sobolim, Kluenang Sobolim, Toni Balingga, Elina Sobolim, Ona Sobolim, Lisenia Balingga and Vaince Amo Hoso.
