Strengthen Industry-to-Agriculture Partnership, Indonesia-Belarus Launch Road Map for Cooperation

Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto and President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko officially launched the Roadmap for Strengthening Indonesia-Belarus Cooperation 2026-2030 as a foundation for strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.

The launch coincided with Lukashenko's official visit to Indonesia, which was also a reciprocal visit to Prabowo's visit to Minsk in July last year. In a joint press statement after the meeting with Lukashenko, President Prabowo emphasized that the launch of the roadmap reflected the commitment of Indonesia and Belarus to build more targeted and mutually beneficial cooperation in various strategic sectors.

This was conveyed by President Prabowo at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Thursday, July 2. The two countries also discussed various strategic steps to strengthen partnerships in the fields of politics, economy, trade, industry, food security, and human resource development.

In the food security sector, President Prabowo said Indonesia and Belarus have complementary potential. Cooperation will be strengthened through the development of modern agriculture, fertilizer provision, agricultural technology, and heavy equipment to support increased productivity in the agricultural sector.

In the economic field, the two countries also agreed to expand partnerships that support each other's national development agendas. Future cooperation will include industrial development, agricultural modernization, supply chain strengthening, and technology development.

In the trade sector, Prabowo appreciated Belarus for having completed the ratification process of the Indonesia-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (I-EAEU FTA). President Prabowo said that Indonesia is currently also completing the ratification process of the agreement.
