President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko Offers Technology Transfer, Belarus Wants to Build Industry Together with Indonesia
JAKARTA - Belarus does not want its trade relations with Indonesia to stop at the sale of goods. Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko offered further cooperation, namely technology transfer to joint industrial development in Indonesia.
In a joint statement with President Prabowo Subianto at the Merdeka Palace, Thursday, July 2, Lukashenko said his country has technology, experience, and industrial capabilities that are ready to be shared with Indonesia.
He emphasized that Belarus not only wants to increase trade, but also build long-term cooperation that benefits both countries.
"The most important thing is not just trade, but technology transfer," Lukashenko said.
According to Lukashenko, technology transfer will help Indonesia expand its industrial base so that it does not depend on one country in meeting its technological and industrial needs.
Lukashenko said Belarus was ready to develop joint projects through joint ventures with a local content level in Indonesia. In addition, Belarus is also willing to train workers and prepare experts to support the modernization of Indonesian industries.
He said Belarus has experience in various fields, ranging from industrial technology, tractors, vehicles, to agricultural equipment.
Lukashenko said that the two countries had drawn up a roadmap for cooperation until 2030 and were now entering the implementation phase. According to the Belarusian President, the various agreements that have been reached serve as a foundation for expanding economic relations between Indonesia and Belarus.
He also emphasized that there was no sector that was closed to cooperation between the two countries, ranging from food security to high technology industries.
