West Java Police Investigate Motor Confiscation Report Allegedly Involving Taufik Hidayat
BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police are investigating a report of alleged theft of motorbikes from a number of residents who are suspected of involving Taufik Hidayat (TH), a suspect in the kidnapping and persecution of a woman with the initials YTR (29).
Head of Public Relations of West Java Police Kombes Hendra Rochmawan said the report had been received and currently investigators were collecting evidence, including examining the reporters and witnesses.
"We have received this report. Currently we are investigating it, mainly from the statements of the reporting witnesses," said Hendra in Bandung, Thursday, July 2.
He said the alleged appropriation was still in the investigation stage to ensure that the elements of the crime were fulfilled before being upgraded to the next stage.
In addition, investigators also investigated surveillance camera (CCTV) footage circulating on social media and showed TH in the Pakuan Building area who was allegedly going to meet West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi.
"For this one, we are still investigating because the CCTV footage circulating on social media was only confirmed last night," he said.
Meanwhile, the Director of Women and Children's Services and Human Trafficking (PPA and PPO) of the West Java Police, Kombes Rumi Untari, said investigators had found two new locations in the pre-reconstruction process of the kidnapping and abuse case against YTR.
With the discovery, the number of crime scenes (TKP) investigated by investigators increased from four to six.
According to Rumi, the reconstruction of the case is scheduled to take place on Thursday, if there are no changes.
