The defendant in the Cilacap BUMD Land Corruption Case Says There Was a Request for Rp21.5 Billion for the Presidential Election
SEMARANG - The defendant in the alleged money laundering case (TPPU) in the corruption case for the procurement of PT Cilacap Segara Artha land, Andhi Nur Huda, said that the former Pangdam IV/Diponegoro, Lt. Gen. TNI Widi Prasetijono, asked for funds of around Rp. 21.5 billion on the grounds that it was for the presidential election.
"There was a request from Mr. Widi. He said the funds were for the presidential election," Andhi said when giving testimony at a trial at the Semarang Corruption Court, reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, July 1.
According to Andhi, the request for funds was submitted in 2022 or ahead of the 2024 Presidential Election stage.
However, he admitted that he did not know the exact allocation of the requested funds.
"I don't know who the money is for, it's just a donation for the presidential election," he said in a trial led by Chief Justice Rightmen Situmorang.
Andhi explained that Widi Prasetijono asked that the funds be sent through the cash deposit mechanism.
He said the money was then sent to an account in the name of a businessman named Arif.
However, Andhi admitted that he did not know the exact identity and connection of the businessman who received the flow of funds.
In the same trial, Lieutenant General TNI Widi Prasetijono is scheduled to provide testimony as a witness in the case that ensnared Andhi Nur Huda.
The case relates to alleged corruption in the procurement of land with an area of 716 hectares by PT Cilacap Segara Artha, a state-owned business entity owned by the Cilacap Regency Government.
Previously, Andhi had been sentenced in the main corruption case for land procurement. At the first level, the former Director of PT Rumpun Sari Antan was sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison.
However, the Central Java High Court later increased his sentence to 13 years in prison after granting an appeal filed by the public prosecutor.
In addition to imprisonment, Andhi was also ordered to pay compensation to the state in the amount of IDR 152.1 billion.
