President Prabowo asks for criticism to be respected, but it cannot damage democracy
Jakarta - President Prabowo Subianto again emphasized that the government respects the criticism that comes in. Because, criticism is an important part of democratic life that must be respected.
However, President Prabowo reminded that Indonesian democracy should not be misused by certain interests that have the potential to damage national unity. This was conveyed by President Prabowo when giving a speech at the 80th Anniversary of Bhayangkara at Satlat Brimob Polri, Cikeas, Bogor Regency, Wednesday, July 1.
President Prabowo said that the development of democracy must continue to be strengthened by upholding responsible freedom of opinion. According to him, criticism has an important role as a reminder and a means of evaluation for the government to continue to improve various policies.
However, President Prabowo reminded that democracy must also be guarded from various forms of abuse that can damage the life of the nation and the state. President Prabowo also emphasized that differences of opinion should not develop into hatred or division among the community.
