Komdigi is going to block 25 PSEs that have not registered, including Strava, Qatar Airways to Accor

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Communication and Digital through the Directorate of Certification and Electronic Transaction Supervision conveyed an official notification to 25 Private Scope Electronic System Operators (PSE) who were known to have met the mandatory registration criteria, but had not carried out the registration obligation.

Director of Certification and Electronic Transaction Supervision, Teguh Arifiyadi, emphasized that PSE registration is an important part of efforts to realize orderly, safe, and accountable digital space governance.

"Through registration, the government can ensure that the implementation of the electronic system runs in accordance with applicable legal provisions and provides better protection for the public," Teguh said in his statement quoted on Wednesday, July 1.

The provisions regarding the obligation to register PSE Private Scope have been regulated in the Minister of Communication and Information Regulation Number 5 of 2020 concerning Private Scope Electronic System Operators (PM Kominfo 5/2020).

Komdigi has submitted a notification letter on June 26, 2026 to 25 Private Scope PSEs, consisting of 15 foreign PSEs and 10 domestic PSEs with a total of 57 Electronic Systems in the form of websites and applications, to immediately fulfill the registration obligation by no later than July 3, 2026.

"If by the deadline PSE has not fulfilled the registration obligation, we will follow up in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations, including the delivery of a warning letter and the application of administrative sanctions in the form of access blocking," said Teguh.
