Bogor DPRD Welcomes Returning Hajj Pilgrims, Zenal Urges Them to Be Role Models
BOGOR - Deputy Chairman II of the Bogor City DPRD, Zenal Abidin, welcomed the return of 328 pilgrims from Kloter 27 from Bogor City in 1447 Hijriah/2026 Masehi at the Bogor City Hall Plaza, Tuesday, June 30 evening.
Representing the leadership and members of the Bogor City DPRD, Zenal expressed gratitude for the return of all pilgrims in good health after performing the hajj in the Holy Land.
"On behalf of the people of Bogor City, we express our gratitude and happiness for the return of Mr. and Mrs. all in good health. May all the Hajj that have been carried out be accepted by Allah SWT and make Mr. and Mrs. as a mabrur Hajj," said Zenal.
The Gerindra Party politician also congratulated the pilgrims who were finally able to reunite with their families after about 40 days of carrying out the series of Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia.
According to Zenal, the spiritual experience obtained while in the Holy Land is expected to not only bring about changes for the individual, but also provide benefits and blessings for the environment and the surrounding community.
In his remarks, Zenal also mentioned the number of the pilgrims' return batch, namely Batch 27, which he said had its own meaning because it coincided with Surat Al-Hajj verse 27 in the Qur'an.
He explained, the verse contains God's command to Prophet Ibrahim AS to call on mankind to perform the hajj pilgrimage. The call was then filled by people from all over the world, both on foot and using various types of vehicles.
"Welcome back to the homeland and welcome back to your beloved families. May it be a mabrur hajj and bring blessings to the environment and the surrounding community," said Zenal.
The atmosphere of the welcome at the Bogor City Hall Plaza was full of tears. Happy tears colored the meeting of the pilgrims with their families who had been waiting for their return since the afternoon. Warm hugs between pilgrims and relatives marked the end of the hajj journey and the beginning of returning to their family activities in Bogor City.
