KPK Slams PP Chairman Japto on Assets Allegedly Related to Satisfaction of Ton of Coal Mining Metrics
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is investigating a number of things when examining the General Chairman of the Pancasila Youth, Japto Soerjosoemarno, as a witness to alleged gratification from one metric ton of coal mines that ensnared the former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara, Rita Widyasari. One of them, about assets that have been confiscated by investigators some time ago from his house.
Meanwhile, Japto underwent an examination at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Tuesday, June 30.
"From the witness of brother JPT, a number of assets have been seized by investigators. Of course, this also requires clustering of assets that are suspected to be related to any suspects, because then the KPK develops this case by determining three new corporate suspects," said KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK Red and White building. quoted Wednesday, July 1.
"So later it will be clearer and clearer that the assets are related to which suspects," he continued.
Budi further said that investigators suspected that the assets that had been confiscated were indeed related to the coal mine production process, mainly security. However, further investigation will be carried out.
"If we look at the entire management of coal, starting from the production process, packaging on site, then there is transportation, yes. So we know there are hauling services, port services, which then also have security services in the transportation process," explained Budi.
Meanwhile, Japto after being examined was silent regarding the material investigated by investigators. But, he actually talked about the world cup when asked which team he supported.

As previously reported, the KPK has revealed that there was an acceptance made by Japto Soerjosoemarno as the Chairman of the Pancasila Youth from the suspect of the corporate case of gratification of metric tons of coal mines involving the former Regent of Kutai Kartanegara Rita Widyasari. The money is allegedly related to securing the mining results of PT Alamjaya Barapratama.
PT Alamjaya Barapratama is known to be a corporate suspect along with PT Sinar Kumala Naga and PT Bara Kumala Sakti in the case of receiving gratification of metric tons of coal. This company is suspected of being a means of receiving corrupt money.
