In addition, Rudiyana was also appointed as an Expert Staff to the Mayor along with hundreds of functional officials and school principals.
The Chairman of the Bogor City DPRD, Adityawarman Adil, congratulated the newly appointed officials and hoped that they could carry out their duties well in order to improve services to the community.
"Today we attended the inauguration of the First High-Level Leadership for the new Head of the Environment Service and Kasatpol PP. We congratulate Mr. Rudi Mashudi, who is now serving as Head of the Environment Service, and Mr. Pupung as Kasatpol PP Bogor City," said Adityawarman.
He hopes that the organization's renovation in the Bogor City Government environment will be able to strengthen the performance of the bureaucracy and provide a positive impact on public services.
"Hopefully, you will always be given smoothness and ease in carrying out this mandate. Congratulations on carrying out your duties to improve public services in your respective sectors for the Bogor City residents," he said.
Meanwhile, Bogor Mayor Dedie A. Rachim emphasized that the two newly filled positions have a strategic role in supporting the city's development agenda.
According to Dedie, the new Kasatpol PP is expected to be able to strengthen the enforcement of public order, including the arrangement of street vendors (PKL) in a number of public areas such as the Alun-Alun area, Sempur Square, Heulang Park, and other strategic points.
"Mr. Pupung has been carrying out his duties as the Acting Head of PP for several months. With this experience, I believe he can carry out his duties with all his heart and maximize the authority he has so that city planning can run better," said Dedie.
In the environmental sector, Dedie asked the new Head of the Environment Agency to continue the waste management program that has been running, especially the acceleration of the construction of Waste to Energy (PSEL).
The Bogor City Government targets the laying of the first stone of the PSEL project to be carried out on July 8, 2026, with a construction period of about one and a half years.
Apart from infrastructure development, Dedie emphasized the importance of educating the public to get used to sorting waste from its source through the application of the principles of reduce, reuse, recycle (3R).
"The biggest challenge is not only building the facilities, but also building public awareness so that waste management starts from households," he said.
Regarding a number of structural positions that are still vacant, Dedie said the competency test process is still ongoing and is expected to be completed in one to two weeks before the next inauguration.
