JCI Wednesday Projected to Correct to 5,500

JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) is projected to be threatened to the level of 5,500 on today's trading, Wednesday, July 1, after yesterday closed down 3.05 percent to 5,643.19.

Technically, Phintraco Sekuritas in its research explained that the positive MACD histogram is shrinking and potentially a Death Cross. Stochastic RSI is in the pivot area and is still continuing downward.

"Thus, today's JCI is expected to test the level of 5,500," wrote Phintraco Sekuritas.

Phintraco Sekuritas said a number of important domestic data will be released today. Starting with Indonesia's inflation data, which will be released today, according to the consensus it is expected to increase to 0.29 percent MoM and 3.2 percent YoY in June 2026 from the level of 0.28 percent MoM and 3.08 percent YoY in May 2026.

According to Phintraco Securities, this increase in inflation is expected in line with the increase in the Pertamax Fuel Price which came into effect on June 10, 2026. Core inflation is also expected to rise to 2.6 percent YoY in June 2026 from 2.59 percent YoY in May 2026.

The next data is the Indonesian trade balance surplus according to the consensus is estimated at US$1.1 billion in May 2026, up from US$0.09 billion in April 2026, with export growth estimated at 4 percent YoY and imports at 18 percent YoY.

Phintraco Sekuritas said the government is preparing an economic stimulus package of IDR 26.34 trillion which will be launched in 2H26. The stimulus package includes a 30 percent discount on Pelni train and sea fares during the school holidays and Christmas and New Year holidays, exemption from port services for transport crossings.

In addition, continued Phintraco Securities, there is food assistance to 33.24 million beneficiaries during the period from July to September 2026. The government will also open a national internship program.

"Stimulus is also provided through a 0 percent import duty facility for the import of LPG for the petrochemical industry and the import of plastic raw materials, as well as a special final tax rate of 1.5 percent for writers," said Phintraco Securities.
