Evaluated Tebang Pilih, KPK Will Be Reported to Dewas in the Blueray Bribery Case

JAKARTA - The Executive Director of the Center of Budget Analysis (CBA), Uchok Sky Khadafi, again criticized the alleged import bribery case involving Blueray Cargo by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

CBA assessed that the investigation into the alleged bribery case of Blueray Cargo had not been carried out thoroughly.

The focus of the KPK's investigation so far is still directed at officials from the Customs and Excise Service and Blueray Cargo, including John Field and those who have been named as suspects.

"Regarding this Blueray cargo, the KPK is selective. They only focus on Djaka Utama. Blueray Cargo should have investigated it for 25 years before Djaka Utama," said Uchok in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

CBA said that in the Examination Report (BAP) which was said to come from Hartanto's statement, an employee of Blueray Cargo, there was a confession regarding the submission of a number of money to law enforcement officials.

In his statement, the transfer of the money was said to have been carried out at the order of John Field. CBA considers that the information that appears in the document needs to be explained through the applicable legal mechanisms, so that the public gets a complete picture of the construction of the case.

In the public discussion forum "Blueray Cargo Bribery: KPK Entrap the Army, Young Chocolate and Old Chocolate are Protected?", in the Menteng area, CBA hopes that a comprehensive discussion will emerge regarding the development of handling the case of alleged bribery of Blueray Cargo imports.

"We will dismantle all the 'patgulipat' which is suspected to have been for decades, why did the KPK only take a year or six months related to this bribe," said Uchok Sky.

"It should be, continued Uchok, the two levels of Customs before Djaka Utama must be focused by the KPK. Djaka Utama, said Uchok, was mentioned in the BAP from July to January, the bribes given from Blueray Cargo to Customs.

"The second, there are police there, there are prosecutors, BPOM and BPK. Why is it being kept silent? Why? There are 20 cargo entrepreneurs or exporters or importers or providers, why is it being kept silent by the KPK? This must be opened. If this is not opened, it means that the KPK has political elements," he said.

CBA challenged the KPK to be open in handling the Blueray Cargo case. CBA also asked the KPK to investigate 20 other providers related to the case.

"The other 20 providers are not opened, I mean. So what I mean, (disclosure of cases) is not complete, if this has not been opened by the KPK later, CBA together with friends will report to the supervisory board (Dewas KPK)," he said.
