Two Years in a Row Win Gold Award, BPJS Employment Strengthens Commitment to Transparency and Sustainability
BPJS Employment has once again won international recognition by retaining the Gold Award at the 2026 Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) General Award category. The award was given for the quality of the 2024 Annual Integrated Report which was judged to meet the best international reporting standards in terms of transparency, accountability, governance, and sustainability.
The award was announced in the series of Australasian Reporting Awards (ARA) 2026 held in Sydney, Australia, on June 18, 2026. Furthermore, the award was officially received by the Director of Finance and Risk Management of BPJS Employment, Bambang Joko Sutarto, in Jakarta. This achievement is even more special because it marks two consecutive years that BPJS Employment has managed to maintain the Gold Award, the highest award in the General Award category.
Bambang Joko Sutarto said that this award is an international recognition of the institution's consistency in presenting quality, transparent, and sustainable reporting.
"We are grateful and proud to be able to retain the Gold Award at the Australasian Reporting Awards for the second consecutive year. This achievement is the result of the hard work of all BPJS Employment people in building a culture of transparency, accountability, and good governance across all institutional lines," said Bambang, quoted Tuesday, June 30.
He added that the award was proof that the quality of BPJS Employment reporting was able to meet the expectations of stakeholders while gaining recognition from the international reporting community.
"We received this award as a form of recognition for the institution's commitment to maintaining transparent governance and reporting quality. More importantly, this achievement shows that the BPJS Employment reporting standard is able to compete and gain appreciation at the international level," he continued.
According to Bambang, the success in maintaining the award is inseparable from the commitment of BPJS Employment in compiling reports that refer to various national and international standards and provisions, including the implementation of POJK Number 51/POJK.03/2017 regarding the Implementation of Sustainable Finance, GRI Standards, and support for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The integrated report prepared by BPJS Employment not only presents information regarding financial and operational performance, but also describes how the institution creates long-term value through good governance, effective risk management, service innovation, and contribution to sustainable development.
"The Integrated Report with the title Innovating With Integrity Fostering Loyalty is not just a reporting document, but a medium for institutional accountability to all stakeholders. Through this report, we strive to show how BPJS Employment carries out the state's mandate in protecting Indonesian workers in a transparent, measurable, and sustainable manner," added Bambang.
Furthermore, Bambang explained that BPJS Employment is the only state institution from Indonesia that participated and managed to win an award at the ARA 2026 event. This achievement shows that the quality of institutional reporting not only meets national standards, but is also able to compete with various leading organizations from the Australia, New Zealand, and Asia Pacific regions.
The Australasian Reporting Awards are one of the most prestigious annual reporting awards in the Asia Pacific region that have been held for more than seven decades. The assessment is carried out independently by considering various aspects, ranging from information disclosure, quality of governance, integration of organizational strategies, risk management, sustainability performance, to the organization's ability to create value for stakeholders.
The success of maintaining the Gold Award for two consecutive years is motivation for BPJS Employment to continue to improve the quality of reporting and disclosure of information to the public. In the future, the institution will continue to strengthen good governance practices, improve the quality of sustainability-based reporting, and ensure that all business processes are carried out transparently and accountable.
"Transparency and accountability are the main foundations in building public trust. This award is an encouragement for us to continue to improve the quality of institutional governance and reporting. This achievement is also in line with the 3C strategy of BPJS Employment, especially in the aspect of Credibility, which we build through openness of information, accountable management, and commitment to provide reliable protection for all Indonesian workers," concluded Bambang.
Meanwhile, the Head of the Jakarta Kelapa Gading BPJS Employment Branch Office, Ivan Sahat H. Pandjaitan, expressed his pride at the extraordinary achievement at the international level.
According to him, this award is a tangible proof of the commitment of BPJS Employment, in implementing transparency and good corporate governance (Good Corporate Governance) consistently throughout all levels of work units, including at the branch office level.
"We at the Jakarta Kelapa Gading Branch Office are very proud and motivated by the survival of this Gold Award for two consecutive years. This achievement confirms that the reporting system, fund management, and operations carried out by the institution have been in accordance with very strict international standards," said Ivan.
Ivan added that this international recognition will be transformed into a new spirit to continue to improve the quality of services directly to workers and employers, especially in the Jakarta Kelapa Gading area. For him, credibility at the global level must be in line with the reliability of services in the field.
"This award is a moral responsibility for us to continue to maintain and care for public trust. We are fully committed to ensuring that this spirit of transparency and accountability is realized in more responsive, easy, and trusted services, so that all workers in the Kelapa Gading area can feel safer and calmer in their work," said Ivan.
