Police Confiscated 3 Tons Of Miras Moke At Bolok Kupang Port
KUPANG - The Kupang Police Narcotics Team of the NTT Regional Police confiscated 3 tons of moke-type liquor at the port of Bolok, Kupang Regency.
“There are 95 jerry cans each measuring 35 liters or 3,000 liters (3 tons) of moke type liquor which were secured from the Cakalang II Ship. This liquor was loaded on a truck with police number N 9268 UG driven by Ahmad Yunus (35) on 18 May," said

This liquor is brought and supplied from Larantuka, East Flores Regency to Kupang City and Regency for free sale.
"Currently it is still in the process of being investigated and the truck driver has been examined by the Kupang Police investigators, while the liquor owner is known to be outside Kupang City," he added.
In connection with the increasing number of cases of persecution in the NTT region, the Head of the NTT Regional Police, Inspector General Lotharia Latif, ordered the NTT Regional Police to eradicate or regulate the circulation of alcohol.
"To reduce the crime rate in the NTT region, the NTT Police Chief ordered the NTT Police to eradicate or control the circulation of alcohol, considering the increasing number of abuse cases due to alcohol," he concluded.
