Police Call Contractor to Investigate Child Who Died in Tebet Project Hole
JAKARTA - Police have summoned contractors and examined a number of witnesses to investigate the death of a boy with the initials I (4) who fell into a hole in a multi-purpose field development project in the Manggarai area, Tebet, South Jakarta.
The case is now being handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police's Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA) to investigate whether there is an element of negligence.
"So at the time of the incident, there were parties that we had called, both the project and parties from witnesses and others," said the Head of the Tebet Police, AKP Ischak, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, June 30.
Ischak said his party had examined a number of witnesses and contractors related to the project hole that resulted in the death of a toddler in South Jakarta.
The hole of the project will be used as the foundation of the building which is planned to be a futsal field.
Regarding whether there was an allegation of negligence, Ischak said the case was handled by the South Jakarta Metro Police's Women and Children Protection Unit (PPA).
"Then the incident was followed up by the South Jakarta Police, namely in the PPA function," he said.
Now, the hole has been closed again so that unwanted things do not happen. Then the police closed the crime scene (TKP) for further investigation.
Previously, a boy with the initials I (4 years old) died after being trapped for about four hours in a hole in a multi-purpose field development project in the Manggarai area, Tebet, South Jakarta.
The victim was successfully evacuated alive, but his life was not saved on the way to the hospital.
