Awkarin hands over pocket money from Hanania Group to investigators, emphasizes that working relationship is only a barter of Umroh

JAKARTA - Selebgram Karin Novilda alias Awkarin memenuhi panggilan penyidik Subdit Kamneg Polda Metro Jaya terkait kasus Hanania Group atau PT Khazanah Tama Internasional.

During the examination which took place on Monday, June 29, Awkarin through his lawyer confirmed that the cooperation that was established was not in the form of a large cash honor, but a barter system for services.

"We need to convey and we emphasize that the legal relationship or cooperation that exists between Mrs. Karin and the Hanania Group is purely natura or non-cash service compensation, or simply barter," said Awkarin's lawyer, Arthasasta Prasetyo Santoso, at Polda Metro Jaya.

Awkarin's party detailed that the umrah facility that Karin received was compensated with a number of uploads on the Instagram social media.

"So from the Hanania Group providing umrah facilities, then from her performance, Ms. Karin will post daily stories on her Instagram. How many posts? There are 12 posts. 9 photo posts, and 3 video posts or reels," he explained.

Although the system is barter, Arthasasta revealed that his client had received a certain amount of pocket money when he left. On the day of the examination, Awkarin cooperatively handed over the money to the police.

"Our client has returned, returned the allowance to the investigators for seizure," said the lawyer.

Regarding the amount of money returned, Awkarin's party was reluctant to mention the exact amount to the media crew.

"The nominal amount can be asked to the investigators. Because if from the information many influencers have been examined, the nominal amount is different," he said.

Karin himself was asked 33 questions by investigators regarding his legal relationship with the company.

"If the question is how many, I don't know how many there were? About 20? 33 questions," said Awkarin.

Awkarin emphasized that this examination was his effort to help the police investigate cases that harmed many congregations.

"I came here because I want to straighten it out and also we want to cooperate with the police so that the victims can get their rights back," said Karin.

Regarding the flow of funds used by the company to endorse him in 2022, Karin admitted that he did not know the origin of the money.

"Whether the money of all kinds is for us to endorse from the congregation or whatever, we don't know anything," he explained.

The lawyer added that this examination was purely about the relationship between the two parties.

"There is no question that is spreading everywhere. It is purely about the relationship between Ibu Karin and the Hanania Group," added Arthasasta.

As a conclusion, the Awkarin party handed over the entire legal process to the authorities.

"It's better for us to join and control this case, we trust the police to find out and seek justice for the victims," concluded Awkarin.
