After receiving a report of a fire in the warehouse of PT Sayap Mas Utama III, he said, officers immediately deployed one fire unit as an initial response.
Officers arrived at the location at 22.48 WIB and immediately carried out a blackout around 22.49 WIB. The size of the fire made the blackout process last for about five hours.
"The fire was finally localized at 00.35 WIB. Subsequently, officers carried out the cooling process at 01.23 WIB to ensure that there were no embers left and to prevent the fire from reoccurring," explained Abdul.
The new extinguishing operation was declared completed at 03.57 WIB or before morning. After it was confirmed safe, all personnel and fleet returned to their respective posts.
The warehouse with an area of about 700 square meters was known to have burned after security officers saw a thick cloud of smoke from the building which was then locked.
"Not long after, the fire grew so large that the incident was reported to us by the fire service," said Abdul.
According to Abdul, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. Meanwhile, the value of the losses due to the incident is still in the process of data collection.
