Trump confirms US-Iran technical meeting to be held in Doha, Qatar tomorrow

JAKARTA - US President Donald Trump said the US would meet with Iran in Doha, Qatar, on Tuesday.

"IRAN HAS REQUESTED A MEETING. THE MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE TOMORROW IN DOHA!" he wrote on Truth Social on Monday, June 29 morning local time, as reported by CNN.

Kazem Gharibabadi, Iran's chief negotiator, earlier told reporters there were no technical working group meetings scheduled for this week.

Meanwhile, a senior US official told CNN yesterday that technical talks on the memorandum of understanding were going "according to plan" despite the recent firefight.
