Menaker and Seskab Launch MagangHub Force II, Quota for Participants 150,000 People
JAKARTA - Minister of Manpower Yassierli together with the Cabinet Secretary (Seskab) Teddy Indra Wijaya launched the National Internship Program (MagangHub) for the second batch of 2026.
In this second batch, the government increased the quota of participants from 100,000 to 150,000 people as an effort to expand the opportunity for college graduates to gain work experience and accelerate their transition to the world of work.
Minister of Manpower Yassierli said that the increase in the quota was a follow-up to the evaluation of the implementation of the first batch which showed positive results in supporting the absorption of labor.
"This is certainly good news for our younger siblings who have just graduated from college. This quota addition is a form of the government's commitment to expanding employment opportunities while strengthening the transition of college graduates to the world of work," said Yassierli, Monday, June 29.
In addition to increasing the number of participants, the government also strengthens the quality of program implementation.
Companies, ministries, and institutions first convey the needs of available internship positions.
Furthermore, the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration conducted verification to ensure that the position was in accordance with the competence and educational background of the prospective participants.
Yassierli added that the selection process for the organizing partners was also carried out strictly so that participants could gain work experience that was relevant to the needs of the business and industry and have greater opportunities to develop their careers after completing the internship period.
In addition to gaining work experience, all participants who successfully complete the National Internship Program (MagangHub) will also receive free certification of competence facilitation according to their respective fields of expertise.
This facility is expected to further strengthen the competitiveness of graduates because it has the recognition of competence needed by the business and industry.
"We express our appreciation to the ministries, institutions, business world, and all parties who have supported the implementation of this program. Apprenticeship is one of the priority programs that receive direct guidance from the President. Therefore, we continue to make improvements so that the benefits can be felt more widely," he said.
Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya said that the implementation of the MagangHub II Force was not only open to new graduates of the undergraduate level, but also for graduates of vocational education and people with disabilities.
The move is part of the government's commitment to expand access to equal employment opportunities.
"The government wants to ensure that college graduates have a wider opportunity to enter the workforce. Therefore, this program not only strengthens skills and work experience, but also opens up more inclusive access so that more young people can get decent job opportunities," said Teddy.
It is worth noting that the registration of organizing partners and the submission of vacancies through the SIAPKerja platform will be open from June 29 to July 15, 2026.
The registration of participants will take place on July 15-28, 2026, the selection process will be held on July 29-August 5, 2026, and the participants who are declared successful are scheduled to start their internships on August 10, 2026.
