The Palace Promises to Absorb Public Criticism, the Red and White Kopdes Manager Training is Evaluated in Total

JAKARTA - The Presidential Palace ensures that all public criticism and input regarding the Red and White Cooperative Manager training will be the subject of government evaluation after the death of five participants. The evaluation is carried out to improve the training pattern without stopping the program which is considered important for cooperative operations throughout Indonesia.

Deputy Minister of State Secretary (Wamensesneg) Juri Ardiantoro said the government understood the public's attention to the incident. Therefore, all input from the community will be the basis for improving the implementation of training.

"Input from the public, from various parties, of course, is heard by the government, is considered, and it becomes the material for evaluating so that this training process becomes more effective," said Juri at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Monday (29/6).

According to Juri, the government together with the organizers will make various improvements so that training no longer causes casualties. The focus of the evaluation is directed at risk mitigation measures during the education process.

"The point is to mitigate so that there are no problems like what has happened, the death of the five people. So in the future it has been anticipated so that there will be no victims," he said.

However, Juri emphasized that training would not be stopped. The government assessed that thousands of Red and White Cooperative managers must still be prepared immediately so that cooperatives can operate according to targets.

He explained that the training not only equipped participants with the ability to manage cooperatives, but also strengthened their character, mentality, and national commitment.

When asked whether the Palace had submitted a special proposal to the organizers, Juri said coordination was still being carried out even though not all the discussion process was presented to the public.

"We coordinate or discuss with them not always have to be conveyed to the public. But the point is to understand that the public input is important and is taken into account," he said.

Juri added that technical improvements to training would be the authority of the committee and the organizing agency. The government hopes that the evaluation can improve the safety standards of participants without reducing the purpose of forming professional Red and White Cooperative managers committed to national interests.
