New Investment Phenomenon: Asset Tokenization Opens Access to US Shares, Investor Interest in PINTU Soars Sharply

JAKARTA - PT Pintu Kemana Saja (PINTU), a crypto asset investment platform licensed and supervised by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has recorded positive records on the tokenization of assets in the PINTU application throughout the first half of 2026. This trend shows the increasing interest of Indonesian crypto investors to diversify into global assets, including US stocks available in the form of tokens on the blockchain network.

Head of Product Marketing PINTU Iskandar Mohammad revealed various interesting growth data.

"Trading tokenized assets on PINTU has experienced a significant increase in which the number of monthly unique traders of tokenized stocks grew 40 percent in May compared to January 2026. In particular, asset tokenization such as Nasdaq (QQQX) & SP500 (SPYX) experienced rapid monthly increases in April-May, up +64 percent and +51 percent respectively. This increase is in line with global investor interest in asset tokenization," he said, Monday, June 29.

The tokenization sector of assets or Real-World Assets (RWA) continues to record growth. Based on RWA.xyz data as of June 25, 2026, the total market capitalization of the Real-World Assets (RWA) sector on-chain reached 32.23 billion US dollars. The figure skyrocketed sharply from only 1.8 billion US dollars at the beginning of 2024. This surge was driven by the massive adoption of global giant financial institutions and the high interest of retail investors in flexible global market access.

"Along with the increasing global transaction of tokenized assets, in Indonesia the growth of tokenized asset transactions among financial investors is driven by several factors, including a final tax of only 0.21 percent which is only imposed when selling. Trading flexibility is the key because you can trade 24 hours a day without having to wait for the market to open. Finally, the ease of direct purchase using rupiah currency without the need for conversion," said Iskandar.

The range of tokenized assets available on PINTU currently includes 48 tokenized assets from various global industry sectors, namely Apple, Alphabet, Meta Platforms, Tesla, NVIDIA, Microsoft, Amazon, JPMorgan Chase & Co, as well as several other investment instruments that provide exposure to technology and AI, finance, consumer goods, healthcare, energy, aerospace & defense, precious metals, US government bonds, to global ETFs.
