Rem Blong, Boks Car Hits Five Motorcyclists, One Dead in Front of Unisma Bekasi Campus
JAKARTA - A traffic accident involving a wing box car and five motorbikes occurred in front of UNISMA Bekasi, Jalan Cut Mutia, Margahayu, Bekasi City, Monday, June 29, 2026. As a result of the incident, one person died and five others were injured.
Kanit Laka Lantas Polsek Rawalumbu Iptu Asep Triana said officers tried to evacuate the victims so that the identities of the victims were still in the process of data collection.
"The names are not known because we were focused on taking care of the victims first. We immediately secured the victims to the ambulance and took them to the hospital," said Asep, when contacted by the media, Monday, June 29, 2026.
He said the deceased victim had been evacuated to the General Hospital. Meanwhile, one injured victim was treated at the Siloam Blue Plaza Hospital, while the other victim was still in a number of hospitals so that it was not fully recorded.
According to Asep, the vehicles involved in the accident consisted of one wing box car and five motorcycles.
Based on the temporary statement from the witness, the wing box car allegedly broke through the red light when the traffic flow from the direction of UNISMA to Kartini Street had received a green light.
"According to witnesses, he was in the red light position, while from the direction of UNISMA to Kartini it was green. It is not yet known whether the car experienced a brake blong or forced to break through the red light," he said.
The police are still investigating to determine the cause of the accident and to list the identities of all the victims.
