Prabowo Promises Quick Response to Aspirations of Citizens who Enter through Social Media
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto emphasized that the government is open to all aspirations of the people, including input submitted through social media such as TikTok. According to him, every proposal will be studied and followed up as needed.
The statement was made by Prabowo when closing the National Sarasehan of the Indonesian Science, Technology, and Industry Convention (KSTI), as quoted from the Government Communication Agency (Bakom) statement, Sunday, June 28.
"I received a list of proposed and a list of questions that were delivered quite a lot. I promise that I will take care of it one by one. Let alone proposals from professors, proposals from children in the village who come directly to me through TikTok or social media, I will immediately follow up," said Prabowo, quoted from Antara, Sunday, June 28.
According to the president, the government does not distinguish between sources of aspirations. Both inputs from academics, experts, and the general public will be considered in policymaking.
Prabowo considers openness to criticism and input to be an important part of efforts to solve various national problems. He emphasized that every challenge must be faced with courage, openly acknowledged, and solutions must be sought together.
"I believe that difficulties must be faced. We must be brave to face difficulties, brave to admit difficulties, and work hard to find solutions to difficulties," he said.
On this occasion, Prabowo also highlighted the development of technology which is considered capable of accelerating the government to know various problems in the region. Through social media, various reports from the public can be received directly so that the government's response can be carried out faster.
However, he reminded that technological progress must also be used wisely. For example, nuclear technology can provide great benefits as a source of energy, but also has the potential to cause negative impacts if misused.
Therefore, Prabowo encouraged universities, including professors and professors, to continue to develop research and the use of technology that can provide the greatest benefit for the progress of Indonesia.
"Brothers, this is the future of professors, professors who have to study it," said Prabowo.
