24 Companies Cooperate to Repair Roads in Siak Riau Worth Rp28 Billion

JAKARTA - A total of 24 companies took part in a joint effort to repair the Simpang Minas-Simpang Pemda-Simpang Tualang Timur Road, Siak Regency, Riau Province, along 2.8 kilometers (km) with an investment of Rp. 28 billion.

Acting Head of the Riau Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, Residential Areas and Land (PUPR-PKPP) Zulfahmi said that the total work on the Simpang Minas-Simpang Pemda-Simpang Tualang Timur Road in 2026 reached 3.4 km.

His party handled the entire 1 km and the rest was private.

"We do expect such collaboration. Thank you to the company that has established this cooperation. In the future, we will continue to improve," he said in a statement received in Pekanbaru, Sunday.

He said that to avoid repeated damage, the damage was handled by using rigid pavement construction. The reason is that the road section is an industrial mobility route, especially for transporting palm oil commodities, wood (logs), migration and port traffic from the industrial area in Perawang to the east cross-line.

The companies involved are Pertamina Rokan Hulu (PHR), Pelindo, Surya Inti Raya, Maredan Sejati Surya Plantation, Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper, Arara Abadi Group.

Then, PTPN IV Region III PKS Lubuk Dalam, PTPN IV Region III PKS Sungai Buatan, Aneka Inti Persada, Mutiara Unggul Lestari, Ivo Mas Tunggal Sam Sam, Ivo Mas Tunggal Ujung Tanjung.

Then, Siak Prima Sakti, Kimia Tirta Utama, Perawang Argo Sejahtera, Kaparindo Argo Industri, Teguhkarsa Wanalestari.

Furthermore, the Makmur Farmer Award, Libo Sawit Perkasa, Berlian Inti Mekar, HABI, Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper, and Bijin Kumita Mutiara.

Of the 24 companies, workers are divided into 4 clusters responsible for repairing 700 meters each.

First, the Oil and Gas Cluster, which is coordinated by PT PHR, will start work in August and this year only 500 meters.

Then, the second, the Wood Pellet Cluster which is coordinated by PT Arara Abadi which will start work in October is also only 500 meters in 2026.

The Palm Oil cluster led by PT Surya Inti Raya will start work in October.

Fourth, the Transpoter Cluster, which will be coordinated by PT Pelindo, also started work in October.

"For the repair of the Riau PUPR-PKPP Office, it has been carried out since June, starting from STN 0+100, precisely after leaving the toll, with the target of the work being completed by December," he continued.

"The total repairs to be carried out on this road section this year is 3.4 kilometers. The rest will be continued next year. The Migas 200 meter cluster and the 200 meter wood cluster," he said.
