Danantara Unites All State-Owned Hotels, InJourney Becomes Operator
JAKARTA - Danantara Indonesia continues to transform state-owned enterprises (SOEs) in the tourism sector by bringing together all SOEs hotels under the management of InJourney.
Through this consolidation, InJourney is projected to become the second largest hotel operator in Indonesia with a portfolio of around 120 hotels.
Head of BP BUMN and Chief Operating Officer (COO) Danantara Dony Oskaria said the unification of all BUMN hotels was a strategic step to reorganize the management of hospitality assets to be more competitive and able to create added value.
"The unification of all state-owned hotels under the InJourney umbrella is a big leap in rearranging and strengthening the value of our hospitality assets to make them more competitive. With a projection of 120 hotels, InJourney will become the second largest hotel operator in Indonesia," said Dony in his statement, written Sunday, June 28.
Previously, on Friday, June 26, 2026, as many as 45 hotels spread across a number of SOEs have signed a Conditional Sale and Purchase Agreement (CSPA). The signing is part of the process of consolidating SOE hotel assets under the InJourney umbrella.
Dony explained that the signing of the CSPA was part of the transformation of SOEs in the hospitality sector which would continue.
According to him, in the near future there will be additional hotels that will join the consolidation process.
"The signing of the CSPA by these 45 hotels is part of the transformation of SOEs in the hospitality sector. This positive momentum will continue to be maintained, and we project the addition of signatures from several other hotels at the beginning of next week. This is a concrete step towards optimizing asset value and a more robust management structure," he said.
Dony said the CSPA scheme was chosen so that the asset consolidation process could proceed prudently while still prioritizing the principles of good corporate governance.
According to him, the unification of all SOEs hotels will be the foundation for creating added value as well as strengthening the competitiveness of the national tourism industry.
"This CSPA scheme ensures that the asset consolidation process is prudent and prioritizes good governance. With the consolidation of all state-owned hotels, a solid foundation is in place to create value. This transformation will ultimately create a more efficient, competitive, and integrated tourism industry portfolio," concluded Dony.
