Ahead of the 80th Bhayangkara Day, the Riau Police completed 110 Precision Red and White Bridges throughout the region.
PEKANBARU - Ahead of the 80th Anniversary of Bhayangkara in 2026, the Riau Police made great achievements through the completion of the Precision Red and White Bridge Program which is spread across all districts and cities in the Riau province.
The program, which is a follow-up to the instructions of President Prabowo Subianto and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit, is a tangible manifestation of the presence of the National Police in responding to community needs, especially in rural areas which have been facing limited access to schools, health facilities, places of worship, to economic activity centers.
Dansat Brimob Polda Riau Kombes I Ketut Gede Adi Wibawa said that by the end of June 2026, the Riau Police Emergency Task Force for the Development and Renovation of Bridge Infrastructure had completed all development targets of 110 Precision Red and White Bridges spread across all districts and cities in Riau Province.
The program was carried out in two stages. The first phase consists of 27 bridges that have been completed and inaugurated directly by the National Police Chief on March 17, 2026 in Kampar Regency.
The Riau Police Bridge Infrastructure Development and Renovation Emergency Task Force has completed all 110 Precision Red and White Bridges that are spread throughout Riau.
Furthermore, Phase Two successfully completed the construction and renovation of 83 additional bridges which have now been completed.
"Alhamdulillah, all the development targets have been completed, so a total of 110 Precision Red and White Bridges have now been completed in all districts and cities in the Riau Province," said Kombes Ketut, Sunday, June 28.
He explained that the construction of 110 bridges was a direct implementation of the President's direction for the state to respond to the basic problems of the community, especially access to education, safety, and improved welfare.
Therefore, the Task Force continues to work in stages until all targets can be completed ahead of the 80th Bhayangkara Day.
In its implementation, the construction involved joint personnel of the Riau Police consisting of Satbrimob, Ditsamapta, Ditpolairud, and personnel from the police in the Riau Police.
They were deployed to various regions with diverse geographical characteristics, ranging from coastal areas, islands, riverbanks to inland areas.
"This bridge opens access for children to school more safely, facilitates people to access health services, facilitates the distribution of agricultural and plantation products, and drives the wheels of the village economy. This is the true meaning of the dedication of the National Police to the community," he said.
Riau Police Chief Inspector General Herry Heryawan said the momentum of the 80th Police Day was the right time to present the results of this work to the public.
Not only as a development achievement, but also as a symbol of mutual cooperation, concern, and collaboration between the National Police, local governments, the business world, and the community.
The Riau Police Bridge Infrastructure Development and Renovation Emergency Task Force has completed all 110 Precision Red and White Bridges that are spread throughout Riau.
The Regional Police Chief revealed that, as the first phase was inaugurated directly by the National Police Chief, the Riau Regional Police was also preparing for the inauguration of the second phase of 83 Precision Red and White Bridges which was planned to be carried out by the National Police Chief in the Riau Bhayangkara Run 2026 activities.
"God willing, if there is no change, this will be a very special momentum, because the community not only feels the excitement of Bhayangkara Day, but also receives real benefits in the form of infrastructure that has been completed," he said.
He hopes that all the Precision Red and White Bridges that have been completed can be maintained and used together by the community as a link for social, educational, and economic activities.
"Hopefully all of these bridges will become a legacy of dedication whose benefits can be felt by the community in the long term. Because for us, the best Bhayangkara Day is when the presence of the National Police really benefits the lives of the community," said Inspector General Herry.
