Serpong Police Criminal Investigation Unit Successfully Uncovered the Circulation of 40 Million Grains of G-Class Hard Drugs
JAKARTA - The disclosure of the case of the circulation of G-class hard drugs with a total of 40 million grains was successfully revealed by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Reskrim) of the Serpong Police. In the operation, the police arrested two suspects with the initials F and A, who are residents of Purbalingga Regency, Central Java.
In addition to securing the two suspects, officers also seized around 916 cartons containing various types of G-listed hard drugs or an estimated 40 million pieces. Police assessed that this disclosure has the potential to save millions of people from the abuse of dangerous drugs.
Serpong Police Chief Kompol Suhardono explained that the disclosure of the case began with information from the public regarding the alleged distribution of narcotics without a distribution permit.
Following up on the report, the Serpong Police Opsnal team together with personnel from the South Tangerang Metro Police conducted an intensive investigation into the network suspected of distributing illegal pharmaceutical preparations.
The results of the investigation led to a yellow Mitsubishi Colt Diesel vehicle with the police number B-9606-Q which was suspected of being used as a means of distributing the drugs.
Around 08.30 WIB, Thursday (30/4/2026), officers managed to track the whereabouts of the vehicle that was passing through the Flyover Pasar Rebo area, Jalan Raya Bogor, Ciracas District, East Jakarta.
After the pursuit, the police stopped the vehicle and took the two perpetrators and the car to the Serpong Police Station for further investigation.
During the search, which was witnessed by the suspects, the police found 78 cartons containing various types of G-class hard drugs that were suspected of not having official distribution permits from the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM) or authorized government agencies.
Police Find Storage Warehouse
The development of the case then led investigators to a location in the Jalan Raya Bogor area, Kramat Jati Village, East Jakarta. At this location, the team again found 838 cartons of hard drugs with various brands that were allegedly ready to be distributed.
All the evidence was then secured to the Serpong Police to facilitate further investigation. From the results of the disclosure, the police confiscated the following evidence:
According to investigators, all the drugs are pharmaceutical preparations that are suspected of being distributed without meeting the safety standards and licensing provisions in force.
For their actions, the two suspects were charged with alleged violations of Article 435 and/or Article 436 paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) of Law Number 17 of 2023 concerning Health, in conjunction with the provisions of the applicable Criminal Code.
The threat of punishment for perpetrators is a maximum of 12 years in prison and/or a maximum fine of Rp5 billion.
Police Say They Have Saved Millions of People
Serpong Police Chief Kompol Suhardono said that if all the evidence were to circulate in the market, the impact was estimated to be very large on public health.
With a total seizure of around 40 million pieces of hard drugs, the police estimate that the disclosure of this case has the potential to save around 20 million lives from the risk of abuse of illegal G-class hard drugs.
The police emphasized that the investigation was still being developed to uncover the possibility of other distribution networks involved in the circulation of unauthorized hard drugs.
