So the Economic Mover, the Workshop Built by the AHM Raup Foundation with a Turnover of Rp7.9 Billion

JAKARTA - Workshops that are part of the Astra Honda Youthpreneurship Program (AHYPP) of the Astra Honda Motor Foundation (AHM Foundation) are not only places for motorcycle maintenance, but also economic drivers.

By creating jobs, developing young entrepreneurs, and at the same time being a place of learning for vocational high school (SMK) students. As part of efforts to increase the competitiveness of business actors, the AHM Foundation will again hold a training on June 25-26, 2026 in Bandar Lampung.

The activity provides theoretical and practical training focusing on increasing productivity, business skills, and strengthening entrepreneurial competence for the owners of the built-in workshops. Over the past year, as many as 24 built-in workshops of the AHM Foundation have managed to record a total turnover of more than IDR 7.9 billion.

In addition, the existence of these workshops also absorbs 43 workers, proving that sustainable coaching is able to encourage business independence while providing economic impact for the surrounding community.

The development of the participants' business can also be seen from the expansion steps taken by a number of workshops, such as MAN Motor in Yogyakarta and Bali Motor in Bali which have added new outlets. Not only business-oriented, some of the workshops also become Field Work Practice (PKL) locations for SMK students so that they can provide real work experience to the younger generation.

One of the program participants, Agus Eka Guncara Bisma, owner of the Bali Motor Workshop in Karangasem, Bali, admitted that the guidance from the AHM Foundation had a major impact on the development of his business. Now, his workshop has employed seven employees and is able to reach more customers.

"The assistance and strengthening of competencies provided by the AHM Foundation helped me develop my business so that my sales increased and the customer reach became wider. As the business develops, we can also open job opportunities and provide benefits for the surrounding community, including for students of my alma mater, SMK Negeri 1 Manggis, Karangasem, Bali," said Agus, as reported from the official statement, Saturday, June 27.

To further strengthen the business foundation of the participants, the AHM Foundation also held a follow-up training themed "Improve Capacity, Towards a Quality Workshop" which was attended by 18 workshop owners from Riau, Bengkulu, Lampung, Banten, Yogyakarta, East Java, Bali, to South Kalimantan.

In this training, participants are equipped with various materials ranging from leadership, communication, digitization, to marketing strategies. All of these abilities are considered an important factor in developing a workshop business that is able to compete in the midst of industry changes.

In addition to classroom learning, participants also attended the Selling & Survival Challenge session to hone their communication skills, creativity, teamwork, confidence, and direct selling skills. They also visited the Arizal Service Workshop in Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung, to learn best practices in business management, service improvement, and business expansion strategies.

Chairman of the AHM Foundation, Ahmad Muhibbuddin, assessed that the success of a workshop is not only determined by the technical ability of mechanics, but also the quality of the business owner's leadership in managing the team and developing the business sustainably.

"This program is part of our commitment to supporting human resource development and community empowerment. We want the young generation of workshop owners to not only become reliable mechanics, but also entrepreneurs who are able to lead teams, have good communication skills, provide the best service to customers, and develop their business independently," said Muhibbuddin.

On the same occasion, the AHM Foundation also awarded the three best training workshops for the period 2025-2026. Bali Motor from Karangasem, Bali, won the Best Performance award at the Pramandiri level, Arizal Service from Tulang Bawang Regency, Lampung, obtained the Best Performance at the Middle level, while Zul Motor from Serang, Banten, received the Best Compliance award.
