This is the Fuel Consumption of Pajero Sport which is claimed to be economical thanks to the 2.4L MIVEC Diesel Engine

JAKARTA - Mitsubishi Pajero Sport has been one of the medium SUVs that have a strong reputation in Indonesia for more than 15 years. Carrying a combination of toughness, comfort, and modern safety technology, this model is still the choice of many consumers, especially for long-distance travel with family and adventurous activities in various terrains.

The Mitsubishi New Pajero Sport comes with a dynamic design, capable performance, and high functionality designed to meet the needs of consumers with an active lifestyle. Not only prioritizing the ability to cross various road conditions, this SUV also offers cabin comfort and fuel efficiency that supports daily mobility to cross-city travel.

For performance, Mitsubishi offers two diesel engine options that have proven their toughness and reliability. The Dakar variant carries a 4N15 engine with a 2,442 cc turbo intercooler Euro 4 diesel capacity that is capable of producing 181 PS of power and a peak torque of 430 Nm. This power character provides responsive acceleration as well as the ability to drive various terrains, ranging from highways to off-road paths.

Meanwhile, the Exceed and GLX variants are equipped with a 4D56 engine with a capacity of 2,477 cc turbo intercooler diesel Euro 4 which produces 136 PS of power and 324 Nm of torque. This engine is designed to provide a balance between performance and fuel efficiency so that it remains comfortable to use as a daily vehicle.

Mitsubishi Motors Indonesia Brand Ambassador, Rifat Sungkar, said the strength of the diesel engine is still one of Mitsubishi's main strengths. "From any year, Mitsubishi is very well known for being tough, so the diesel is always the best selling," said Rifat in an official statement, Saturday, June 27.

The diesel engine capability of the Pajero Sport is also supported by Mitsubishi Innovative Valve Timing Electronic Control (MIVEC) technology which helps optimize valve opening to make the combustion process more efficient. This technology allows fuel consumption to remain economical without sacrificing performance, making it suitable for long-distance travel and daily activities.

In various automotive media tests in Indonesia, the fuel consumption of the Pajero Sport on out-of-town trips is generally in the range of 12 to 15 kilometers per liter, depending on driving style and road conditions.

The character is one of the reasons why Pajero Sport is widely chosen as a road trip vehicle. With a ground clearance of 218 mm, this SUV is able to face various road conditions in Indonesia, ranging from toll roads, mountain trails, to damaged or potholed terrain. The high driver's seat position also provides better visibility when crossing heavy traffic or when overtaking large-sized vehicles.

In the comfort sector, the Pajero Sport offers a cabin with a capacity of seven passengers with spacious space. The presence of a double blower air conditioner to the third row, ergonomic seats, spacious luggage space, and a suspension designed to be comfortable make long journeys more enjoyable for all passengers.

Not only that, safety aspects are also a major concern for Mitsubishi through the presence of Diamond Sense technology. This active safety feature package includes Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Adaptive Cruise Control, Ultrasonic Misacceleration Mitigation System (UMS), Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA), Blind Spot Warning (BSW), Multi Around Monitor (MAM), up to seven airbags on certain variants. In addition, other safety features are also available such as Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Brake Assist (BA), Active Stability Control (ASC), Traction Control System (TCL), Hill Start Assist (HSA), and Hill Descent Control (HDC).

According to Rifat Sungkar, the presence of Diamond Sense is an important added value considering that the Pajero Sport is a large-sized SUV.

"Mitsubishi Pajero Sport from generations has always added features. Diamond Sense is very important. Why? Because Mitsubishi Pajero Sport is a big car category. The big car category is reactive, if there is something, it is slower than a car that is smaller in size. That is, when it can handle the car, assisted by Driving Assist, whose purpose is for safety, we feel double secure," said Rifat.

Positive experiences were also felt by the user of the 2020 Pajero Sport Dakar 4x4, Riyzal Bahdari. According to him, the combination of engine robustness, suspension comfort, and completeness of safety features makes the SUV reliable for exploring various regions in Indonesia.

"If you are looking for a rugged, comfortable, fuel-efficient, and reliable adventure car, you can't go wrong with choosing the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport. The main reason I chose this car is because of its engine and suspension delays, it is also equipped with complete safety features," he said.

In addition to being supported by tested products, Mitsubishi Motors Krama Yudha Sales Indonesia (MMKSI) also strengthens the ownership of Pajero Sport through the after-sales service network. Currently, Mitsubishi Motors has 299 dealers spread across various regions of Indonesia, giving consumers a sense of security when traveling long distances.

As a form of appreciation to consumers, MMKSI also presents a special sales program for the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport which runs from June 1-30, 2026. The program is a continuation of the promo which has started since May 2026, with the aim of providing added value while ensuring maximum comfort for consumers who want to own the flagship SUV.
