BMKG: Several Cities in Indonesia Have the Potential for Light Rain Today
JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicts that a number of cities in Indonesia have the potential to experience light to moderate rain on Saturday, June 27.
Quoted from the BMKG Instagram account (@infobmkg), moderate intensity rain is potentially occurring in Serang and Nabire. Meanwhile, light rain is expected to rain on a number of other cities in the western and eastern regions of Indonesia.
In the western region, light rain is potentially occurring in Banda Aceh, Medan, Tanjung Pinang, Padang, Bengkulu, Palembang, Pontianak, and Tanjung Selor.
Meanwhile, in the eastern part of Indonesia, light rain is predicted to occur in Mamuju, Palu, Kendari, Ambon, Sorong, Manokwari, Jayapura, Jayawijaya, and Merauke.
In addition to the potential rain, BMKG also predicts cloudy to cloudy conditions in a number of major cities.
For the western region of Indonesia, cloudy conditions are potentially occurring in Jambi, Pangkal Pinang, Jakarta, Bandung, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Surabaya, Banjarmasin, Palangkaraya, and Samarinda.
Meanwhile, in the eastern part of Indonesia, cloudy to cloudy weather is predicted to occur in Denpasar, Mataram, Kupang, Makassar, Gorontalo, Manado, and Ternate.
BMKG also predicts that hazy air conditions are potentially occurring in Bandar Lampung. Meanwhile, Pekanbaru is predicted to experience smoke or fog conditions.
