Adu Aking Lintas Generasi, Film Cinta Lama Babak Kedua Siap Mengocok Perut dan Emosi Penonton 2 Juli Nanti
JAKARTA - MIR Productions has officially announced the screening of their latest film in the romantic comedy genre titled Cinta Lama Babak Kedua (CLBK). This film is scheduled to be shown simultaneously in all Indonesian cinemas starting July 2.
Unlike the usual romance premise that glorifies the love story of young people, CLBK packs a long love conflict that re-emerges from a unique perspective, namely a pair of grandparents. This sweet story wrapped in family conflicts brings together two veteran Indonesian actors and actresses, Slamet Rahardjo as Akung Abi and Widyawati as Nin Sita.
Vladimir Rama as co-producer and founder of MIR Productions said, the film CLBK presents something unusual but still feels close to the reality of society in general.
"The premise of this film is unusual, although the experience in it could have happened to all of us. We need films like this to be enjoyed by Indonesian film lovers," said Rama at a press conference at Epicentrum, South Jakarta, Friday, June 26.
Rama added that the comedy elements interspersed in this drama film were quite thick. "Although the genre is a romantic drama, the comedy seasoning is quite thick. The cast can play all their roles very well. If you want to prove what cross-generational acting is like, please watch the film on July 2," he said.
The Project of Dreams that Have Been Stored for 10 Years
The director and screenwriter of CLBK, Ivander Tedjasukmana, revealed that the film's story idea had actually been brewing in his personal library since 2016.
"This film has been stored in my library for a long time, almost 10 years. I just got the opportunity last year to be produced, and it will be released in 2026. It feels amazing," said Ivander.
Interestingly, the characters of Akung Abi and Nin Sita from the beginning were specifically designed for Slamet Rahardjo and Widyawati. Ivander also did not deny the tension and great respect when he had to direct the two senior actors in one frame.
"And directing two seniors in one frame was a challenge for me, but yes, it's called senior, given a little direction, I immediately understand. I learned a lot from them," said the director.
Unique Chemistry of Sintya Marisca and Iskak Khivano
In addition to presenting the dynamics of old age love, the strength of the CLBK story line is also supported by a slick appearance through Sintya Marisca who plays Ambar and Iskak Khivano as Raka. In this film, the two are portrayed as lovers whose wedding plans are threatened by the past feud of their grandparents.
Sintya Marisca also told her experience of building emotional closeness with Khiva who was quite old. Although it was difficult, Sintya admitted that she was very helped by her senior.
"Building chemistry with Kak Khiva is actually quite challenging, but it is very helpful, because I like men who have a masculine nature, alias Kak Khiva who is more father-like," joked Sintya with laughter.
On the other hand, Khiva confirmed that he was confused to get closer to Sintya so that their acting as a couple looked natural.
The Original Braga Street Magic Becomes a 1970s Vibe
Another advantage of the CLBK film lies in its visual aspect. Yogi Arifiandy as the producer emphasized, the production team gave their best effort to revive the atmosphere of Bandung City, especially Braga Street, in the 1970s. The past visual effects were worked on in a real way without the help of artificial intelligence or artificial intelligence (AI).
"This film was thought to be AI. Especially for the Braga Street scene. In fact, it's all original. So, the old cars are original, then we have to pick up the stones that exist around the Merdeka Building. We have to find small prints. The bicycle must also be exactly like the 70s," said Yogi.
In addition to the actors above, this film produced by MIR Productions is also supported by other ensembles of actors such as Sarah Sechan, Kiki Narendra, Iyang Dharmawan, Gisellma Firmansyah, Febry Khey, and Annisa Kaila.
