President Putin Says Russia Tested More Than 1,000 Weapon Systems in the Field Last Year
JAKARTA - More than 1,000 new weapons were tested in combat last year, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with graduates of military educational institutions.
The meeting, which was held at St. George's Hall of The Grand Kremlin Palace on June 23, was attended by graduates of military education institutions of the Ministry of Defense to the Federal Security Service, quoted from Kemlin (24/6).
"There has been a qualitative development in many types of weapons since the start of the special military operation. Let me give you just one example: more than 1,000 types of weapons and military hardware were tested in combat conditions last year, including unmanned aerial vehicles with improved guidance systems and roaming ammunition, robotic vehicles with various designations and many other weapons," explained President Putin, as quoted by TASS.
"There is a rapid exchange of information between frontline troops and defense companies, while feedback channels that have been established help collect data on the effectiveness of military weapons and hardware as well as analyze the assessments of soldiers using these weapons on the battlefield," he added.
"All of this is done using a domestic science and technology base and is the result of the work of our scientists, designers, engineers, and workers and is fully provided with the necessary funding based on a stable and sustainable Russian economy," President Putin said.
