Keep Increasing, the Number of Victims of the Venezuelan Earthquake is Almost 600 People

JAKARTA - The number of deaths from the successive earthquakes in Venezuela continues to increase. The latest data states that 589 people have died and more than 2,900 people have been injured due to two strong earthquakes.

The two earthquakes - a magnitude 7.2 quake followed just seconds later by a magnitude 7.5 quake - shook the coast of Venezuela, toppling buildings in the capital Caracas and sending residents running into the streets.

Acting President of Venezuela Delcy Rodriguez confirmed that a team of helpers was carrying out "intensive rescue operations" to search for people who were estimated to be trapped under the rubble.
