"If Time Could Be Repeated" Film Presents the Relationship Between Children and Mothers

JAKARTA - Langit Pictures Indonesia introduces the film "Andai Waktu Bisa Diulang Kembali" from director M. Amrul Ummami. Played by Davina Karamoy and Vonny Anggraini, this film highlights the relationship between mother and child who pass through various tests.

"Andai Waktu Bisa Diulang Kembali" tells the story of Dinar (Davina Karamoy) who only has Mama Endang (Vonny Anggraini), even so, Mama Endang hides several things so as not to burden Dinar, ranging from debts left by her husband to the cancer she is suffering from.

One day, Dinar met Faiz (Farhan Rasyid) who was well received by Mama Endang. When Dinar found out about some of the problems, Dinar began to have a dilemma to save his mother or let go of the man he loves.

"The idea of this film came from a simple regret. Then when you talk to a lot of people, it turns out that almost everyone has that regret," said producer Ali Ghifari at a press conference in East Jakarta on Friday, June 26.

Director Amrul Ummami also explained, "About time, the importance of time. We have one moment later in the film that if you guys watch it, you will be surprised and how is it, like that. Not only surprised but contemplate the meaning of time itself. What if, for example, time, we can actually repeat time, or if we go back to that time, we want to do anything, we want to improve those conditions, whether it can or not. Well, all of that will be answered later in this film. "

Davina Karamoy as the main character said that her character in this film displays a big emotional side compared to other films. He felt that this character could be found in the community, especially teenagers who are familiar with their mothers.

"The story is related and quite attached to our environment and this is very touching, yes. In fact, there was a moment where I read a full script with the actors at the beginning of our reading, we mostly cried. Because the script was made so sad, so much so that it might make us feel like, "so sad, here," said Davina Karamoy.

Vonny Anggraini who plays Endang, the mother of Dinar added, "Maybe this is also the fear that all parents will feel, how will my child's fate be when I am no longer in this world. And for me, because I am also a mother, it feels really heavy if I have to go through those times. And that is one of the emotional moments that Mama Endang also experienced in the film If Time Could Be Repeated Again. "

Besides Davina, the film is also played by Farhan Rasyid, Nadzira Shafa, Bismo Satrio, Kenji Sato, and others.

The film "If Time Could Be Repeated" will be shown in Indonesian cinemas starting July 30, 2026.
