The Government Evaluates the Red and White Kopdes Manager Training, Has Not Found Any Indication of Negligence

JAKARTA - The government is evaluating the implementation of training for prospective managers of the Red and White Village Cooperative after three participants were reported to have died. However, until now there has been no indication of negligence in the implementation of the training.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that an evaluation was carried out on all stages of training. If procedures are found to be inappropriate, the government will immediately make improvements.

"If there is a wrong procedure, of course we will fix it," said Prasetyo at the Parliament Complex, Jakarta, Friday, June 26.

According to him, the government is still collecting reports from the field so that it cannot conclude the exact cause of the three participants' deaths.

Prasetyo said the government first conveyed its concerns to the victim's family before conducting a thorough evaluation of the implementation of the program.

He also dismissed the notion that training for cooperative managers only contains physical training. According to him, managerial competence training remains the main part in the formation of prospective cooperative managers.

"Competency education is still given. The government did not provide competency education," he said.

Prasetyo emphasized that evaluations would continue to be carried out so that the implementation of training would run better, while ensuring that the goal of preparing human resources for the management of the Red and White Village Cooperative was still achieved without neglecting the safety aspects of participants.
